Our Campaign

The Power of Stevens campaign proved the true power of Stevens is YOU. You believed in the priorities of student success, faculty excellence and building a vibrant campus. You gave your resources, time and energy. Because of you, Stevens is a university on the rise.

The impact of The Power of Stevens campaign will last for generations. Alumni and friends raised more than $200 million for scholarships, faculty chairs, academic programs, research projects and impressive facilities such as the Gateway Academic Center and the University Center Complex. The highlight of The Power of You celebration will be the Impact Showcase, an interactive experience featuring student innovation and faculty excellence.

ROBOTICS

Through the IDEaS program (Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship at Stevens), student engineers develop their aptitude for technical design. Experience their innovation through an interactive robotics demonstration, 3D scanning and printing presentation, and autonomous design competition.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The students of Launchpad@Stevens learn how to develop ideas with commercial appeal and gain experience for pitching concepts, business networking and raising capital. Meet these emerging entrepreneurs who are forming real companies poised for viable scale and hyper growth.

In the Student Managed Investment Fund, classmates invest real money from the university’s endowment in the stock market, often with lucrative success. See how these shrewd students blend faculty guidance, advanced campus facilities and their own technical skills to generate bullish returns.

CREATIVE ARTS

In a concert transcending styles, a lineup of student singers, songwriters and producers from the Music & Technology program will entertain listeners with scintillating original compositions.

Faculty from the four Stevens schools will present research projects that seek to improve society in diverse ways: enhanced human mobility, smarter transportation networks, sharper financial risk management and calmer political discourse.

Nick Byrd, Assistant Professor & Intelligence Community Fellow
College of Arts and Letters
The goal of Dr. Byrd’s research is to show people how they can overcome common reasoning mistakes to reduce polarization and radicalization.

Paul Grogan, Assistant Professor, Systems & Software
School of Systems and Enterprises
In the Collective Design Lab, Dr. Grogan and his team develop theories, methods, and tools for complex systems with decentralized architectures, including a prominent collaboration with NASA.

Yeganeh Hayeri, Assistant Professor, Enterprise Science and Engineering
School of Systems and Enterprises
Dr. Hayeri’s research explores the interaction between humans and built environments to promote safer, accessible and resilient transportation networks.

Majeed Simaan, Assistant Professor, Finance
School of Business
Using artificial intelligence, Dr. Simaan studies financial risk management to enhance economic gains.

Antonia Zaferiou, Assistant Professor, Biomedical Engineering
Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science
By studying sound-based biofeedback, Dr. Zaferiou seeks to improve human mobility and movement mechanics.

Our Community

For the first time ever, the Stevens community will have the opportunity to tour the University Center Complex, a three-story state-of-the art university center with conference facilities, game rooms, dining and student spaces with magnificent views of midtown Manhattan. The University Center Complex will become the new campus hub for student life and engagement at Stevens. Be one of the first to see it in person on May 14!
